Essential Films To See At The 2024 Brisbane International Film Festival
The 2024 Brisbane International Film Festival begins this week, and the program is full of amazing surprises, fantastic films, and plenty of exclusive Queensland premieres!
The festival boasts a huge selection of movies from all around the world, and we’ve highlighted some essential films that you can see at the festival, everything from local documentaries to entrancing thrillers and dramas.
The 2024 Brisbane International Film Festival runs from October 24 till November 3rd, and tickets are on sale now.

Aquarius
Queensland Premiere
In May 1973, 10,000 artists, activists, hippies, radical students, gurus and visionaries descended on a small diary farm in Nimbin for a 10 day festival of social and cultural exploration that changed a generation. AQUARIUS is a film about the people and the power of change, of unintended consequences and the radical wisdom that reaches down through generations today.
Directed by Wendy Champagne, who will be a guest at the festival.
