6. Granada
Heading south past the incredible hills and wind farms that flank the road, you’ll enter the Costa del Sol and the city of Málaga, birthplace of Picasso and the final stop on a once-in-a-lifetime road trip. To see you off, visit El Refectorium, a popular and very well regarded tapas restaurant, for some traditional Malaguese cuisine. Afterwards, for the best view of the city, make the climb to the magnificent Castillo de Gibralfaro, another symbol of Spain’s Moorish ancestry. And with those spectacular views the trip comes to an end. Although if you did want to stay a while longer the mountains of Andalusia are not far, and Africa is only a ferry ride away...
